Introduction to CyberVerse, A Cyber Security Community Discord Server
Greetings of the day everyone. I am glad to announce that we have created a Cyber Security Community on discord. Our aim is to reach out as much as cyber professionals and cyber security enthusiasts and gather them at one place to share knowledge, wisdom and experience with others and make the cyber world more secure. Here, I am going to walk through you on How to join, access and use our discord community server and interact with people. I hope you will find it useful.
You can use below given link to join our discord community server and rock with your mates in the community.
Before starting, I would like to give a highlight on founders of this booming community for their affords and help for making awesome community for cyber enthusiasts.
Let’s get started, When you first join the community server, you will get landed to welcome page of the server as shown in the image. You can see that it suggests you to complete certain steps before talking on the server. Just click on complete button and follow the steps.
When you will click on complete, It will tell you to agree on the terms and conditions and rules defined on the server’s #rules channel. Just tick the “I have read and agree to the rules” and click on submit. Now, you are in the server and access “Pre-verification” channels on the server.
As you can see, you can access several channels available on the server. You can navigate through the channels and see what is available for you.
- Welcome Channel: Welcome channel welcomes you as a cyber enthusiast on the server.
- Rules Channel: The rules and regulations that you have to follow while using our discord community server. Please read through all the rules and regulations defined there for not being blocked or kicked out from the server.
- Self-Assign-Roles Channel: This channel is very important channel on the server because it verifies a new user on the server and unlocks more channels on the server to access and talk with other people. I will cover this thing later in this article.
- Announcements Channel: Announcements channel is meant for posting important announcements to the server members.
- General-Chat Channel: Whether you are verified or not you can access this channel and talk with people on the server. But it gives you only limited access on the server.
- Forum-Discussions: Forum-Discussion is a server forum where you can create a post on specific topic and discuss with other people without getting interrupted with general chat and messages . You can also access this channel without verifying yourself but as it will not give you full access to the server resources.
Verify Yourself — An Important Step
For getting a full access on the server channels, you must verify yourself on server at #self-assign-roles channel. To verify yourself, follow given steps on the server.
Click on #self-assign-roles channel
You will see a message that says that verify yourself by clicking on ✅ emoji. Just click on ✅ emoji on the message and see the magic at left hand side of the discord server. Boom, congratulations you have verified yourself and unlocked so many channels on the server. Now you are a official member of the community.
One more thing, we don’t ping everyone frequently because it’s so annoying. You can also click on ⚪ emoji to get a announcement role and you will be notified for all important updates. Don’t wait, just click on it. Now there are many other roles according to your interest below it. Click on respective roles according to your interest.
Let me show you the magic of verification on our community server. I will click on ✅ button to verify myself and also get announcement role for getting important updates by clicking ⚪ emoji. I will also click my interest field role.
As soon as I clicked on ✅ role, I got so many channel access and now I can access so many channels and talk to other people and share resources etc.. “There will be certain channels in which members will not be able to post a message because certain channels are meant for admin access only.”
As you can see, I moved from online list to Member list on the server. Now, I can send a message, send stickers, emojis, attach files and many more. This is how a discord works and this is how “CyberVerse” discord server is giving a functionality and features.
There are so many channels to specific subjects, for an example. You can introduce yourself at #introduce-yourself channel, You can share resources in resources category channels, You can chat with people in #general-chat channel, You can talk with people on voice on general voice channels etc..

More on channels
Let me introduce you with more important and available channels in our community discord server. As I can not explain each and every channel on the server, I will go through some important one.
- Announcements: Announcements channel is meant for important announcements, all the important updated will be posted ther by server admins.
- CVE-Updates: This is the channel where you will get information about all new 0day vulnerabilities and latest CVE updated on the server. This channel is very important as it will give you latest information on time.
- The-Hacker-News: In this channel, you will find all latest news on cyber security attacks and vulnerability reports and announcements from The Hacker News
- Internships: You will get updates on various internships opportunities. Some time we posts good job opportunities also.
- Mysterious Resources: You will get latest mysterious resources updates in this channel including new courses, discounts on courses, free resources etc.
- Support: If you find any major difficulty and you wanna talk privately with any admin, then you can go to support channel and create a ticket. A private sperate channel will be created for you and admin to talk and you will talk with admins.
There is two more important channels that are specially made for community people.
- Forum Discussion: The forum channel gives you an ability to create a post on specific topic and all interested people can talk on it without any interruption of other misleading and out topic messages.
- Community Content: Not only that, this channel is for you, If you are a youtuber or writing blogs or making any kind of content that is not fitting to any of the channels and made by you, then you can post it here.
Last but not the least, fun is important in life. Without fun, we can’t live a healthy life. So, we are having a #meme in our community server. You guys can share memes and have fun with learning. See it’s a rhyme, Learn — Fun, not really na 😂 but fun is definitely there. Learn, enjoy and rock in cyber space with awesome skill and passion.
