Earning eMAPT: My journey towards becoming an eLearn Security certified.
Hello to the great cyber security community, especially the mobile platform and application security community!
In this article, I’m going to review the eMAPT exam and share my experiences with you, and finally give you some tips that will help you make the exam process easier for you.
First of all, why eMAPT?
The main reason for choosing this course and its test is that it is from zero to hero. This course will teach you the basics of mobile application vulnerabilities, root cause of the vulnerability, how to exploit them and some tips about the methodologies for finding these vulnerabilities. It also provides you Hands-on labs that are very effective in the learning process and make you understand the concepts and contents of each module better.
This course is divided into two parts: Android applications and iOS applications.
Also, this course will teach you an overview of Android and iOS internals, which is a very important topic in learning the concept of a mobile application and security testing of a mobile application.
Does it have any prerequisites?
Of course!
In addition to having basic security, network, cryptography and Linux skills, having Java programming (for Android) and Objective C programming skills (for iOS) is very necessary.
Because these languages are native languages in each of these operating systems and they play a key role in the process of exploit development for their vulnerable applications.
What about the exam?
It’s all about android!
In this exam, you will not be given any challenge about security testing of iOS applications!

But why?
Because the required tools are exclusive to Apple, to test the security of iOS applications, you need equipment such as a MacBook or an iPhone device (for Mac users, it is not necessary to have an iPhone, as they can use the Xcode emulator).
But to test the security of Android applications, you do not need unique hardware equipment and you can use free emulators such as Genymotion or even Android Studio AVD, which can be installed on all MacOS, Windows and Linux platforms.

Yes, why not?!
First of all, let me clarify for you.
ِDO NOT Even think about finding the solutions in the internet!!
Trust me! you can not find them.
The exam is completely unique and deferent from the others.
If it seems difficult or impossible to do, don’t panic! All you need is a little more precision.
All the required things have already been taught to you and nothing else is wanted from you.
