TryHackMe writeup: RootMe

RootMe (“ReddyyZ” 2020) is a TryHackme room aimed at beginners or those looking to practice their skills. This room is fairly straightforward and rudimentary: it reinforces good offensive security practices such as enumeration and “trying harder.” In this article, I will discuss my process by which I have gained initial access and privilege escalation onto the target system.
