Hello, my digital adventurers! Today, I am going to show you how to install Ubuntu Server 22.04 LTS.

This will assist us with our upcoming blog posts. :)

Let’s start!

Downloading ISO image

  • Select “Ubuntu Server 22.04.5 LTS”
  • Start the torrent to download the .iso file. Once the download is complete, click the “Save File” button to save the .iso file to your host system.

Installing Ubuntu Server

  • Open VMware Workstation on your host computer, and click the “Create a New Virtual Machine” button
  • Select the “Typical” installation
  • Choose the .iso file from the location where you downloaded it.
  • Assign a name and location for the virtual machine.
  • I will set the disk size to 50 GB for this VM. However, if you have more available space, you can allocate a larger size.
  • For better performance, I will allocate 6 GB of RAM to this server.
